Recently, many people have asked if they can donate to saving the bees, and sometimes instead of charging for a service, I might say, "oh, just get something for the bees..... So here is a link for Amazon, specifically for products we use in our live feral bee removals. Click on The Bees Wish List.
A product that we use for saving the brood is a special frame that snaps open and closed. It is the Apimaye Pro Frame. These are greatly in need as it takes awhile before we are able to switch these out of the hive for the next removal. If you would like to donate some of these please ship to: 10390 S Sierrita Mtn Road.
We also use the Green Uline 2 Gallon Buckets for feeding bees. They last a few seasons before they get damaged by the sun.
We also are working on a Historical and Educational Hive Walk, here are some of the examples of modern equipment we are missing available through Amazon: The Hive Walk
Monetary donations can be sent to: Monica King, 10390 S Sierrita Mtn Rd, Tucson, Arizona 85736 or sent through Zelle
We sincerely appreciate everyone! Thank you for assisting in saving the bees! We will post updates here on this page with recent gifts to the bees!
We are also working on a beekeeping museum, if you have a collection of beekeeping antiques are interested in selling or donating, please send an email.
06/2021 Special thanks to "V" for her generous donation. We were able to acquire 150 pounds of sugar for feeding the bees this winter. Some may question why this should even be done. This is for the feral bees that homes have been relocated. It takes time to rebuild and re-acquire food stores. During this process there may not be anything for them to forage. In order to prevent starvation we must feed or the bees will die.
