Free Swarm Removals - if they are resting in your tree, within arms reach, let us save them. We give them a good home and care. This is if they just arrived, if they have comb, or they require a ladder or other equipment to reach them then it is more labor intensive and there is a fee.
Live Established Hive Removals from Sheds, houses, irrigation boxes, and other locations are charged according to the difficulty of removal. The price is based on the size of the colony and the difficulty of accessing the hive. You can submit a request for a quote via email by filling out the form above. Please send any photos you can safely take of their location either by emailing them to [email protected] or texting them to 520-240-0532. Please read our blog post "Why Bees are not Free" for a better understanding of this process.
Honeybees sometimes try to establish hives in compost bins.
Honeybees really like to make their homes under the floor of sheds. This shows the hive after the plywood floor was removed and the bees removed. We save all the wax, honey, and brood (baby bees). The brood is strung into frames and put into an empty hive box to be reunited with the rest of the bees at our farm. The honey is strained and fed back to the bees and the wax is melted down for use in our queen rearing operation. No waste.
Don't have bees and don't want bees? read on.... Bees can establish in many places, some very surprising places! If you would like to make your home as "bee-proof" as possible we offer a property review & recommended maintenance for a $75. fee (up to 1 acre). Your property will be evaluated for potential hive locations and recommendations will be made on how to fix or deter the bees from choosing these spots. We also use a thermal imager if you suspect you may have bees but are unsure. Use the contact form above to set up an appointment.
