The "Hive Walk"

Envision walking a path of historical & unique beehives surrounded by local pollinator friendly vegetation......
Picture

First we will have a replica of the "Man of Bicorp" from Cuevas de la Arana done on flagstone to start the path. Image from wikipedia

The next few spots in the walk are left blank, projects are underway for these but will not be disclosed until ready for completion! Just let me say, they will be awesome!!!

This Tarahumara extremely large clay jar will be used to replicate how the Cahuilla of Southern California kept bees. Due to difficulty in management, this would be for show only and not put into actual use. An example can be seen on my blog post https://www.monicamking.com/blog/rare-beehive#/

A donation of a Top Bar Hive (Thank you Denise!) will be made into an active demonstration colony in Spring of 2020.

Also donated is a Hex Hive (Thank you Lucas!). This will be sanded down and given a fresh protective coating and will be made into an active demonstration colony in the Spring of 2020
